A tribute to Fellowcrafts! An awesome staple shirt with a small stylized Square and Compasses seal printed on the left side of the breast. Available in Black and Navy colors.
Square and Compasses
The S&C is contained within a circular rope. The letter "G" is stylized to look like a gear. The small circle at the center of the letter "G" is the central point of the circumpunct (relative to the rope).
The legs of the compasses are made of a Spirit Level on one side, and a combination wrench on the other. The pivot point is another circumpunct.
Square Tool
The Square is made up of two different kinds of hammers- a sledge hammer on one side, and a setting hammer on the other. Together they represent the natural forces of creation- one is used for destruction work, the other one used for creative purposes. At the corner of the square is a firm handshake to symbolize the marriage of the destructive and creative forces within a man and nature in general. The two hands shaking forms a stylized angular heart.
The Seven Liberal Arts & Sciences
The Seven Stars represent the Seven Liberal Arts & Sciences. In the medieval European university, the seven liberal arts were grammar, rhetoric, and logic (the trivium) and geometry, arithmetic, music, and astronomy (the quadrivium).
A Reminder
Below the S&C are two lines of text that read "Working Class Freemason; Encourage Industry, Reward Merit" as a literal reminder of the lessons which we learned from our journey as a Fellowcraft.
This makes for a great staple t-shirt. It's made of a thicker, heavier cotton, but it's still soft. And the double stitching on the neckline and sleeves add more durability to what is sure to be a favorite!
